This 36-hour (GMAW) course is for students with little or no experience in MIG welding. This course will cover shop safety, troubleshooting problems, machine settings, basic metal joints and how to weld them. Safety is covered in the first two sessions. Upon course completion, students may enroll in MIG II or TIG Welding. Students provide their own safety glasses, welding gloves, and reinforced-toe footwear. Please be sure to complete the 2-part form at this link and return it to MCST to complete your registration. Priority is given to those who seek training for the (welding)work force or who are looking to learn/upgrade their welding skills for their current employment.
