This course prepares participants ages 11-16 to safely provide care for infants and children. Learn important skills like diapering, feeding, and holding children. In addition, students will learn how to react to an emergency situation, such as choking, fire and water emergencies. Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate from the American Red Cross which is valid for 10 years (this course does not include CPR/First Aid/AED certification). Parents:  It is vital that your student arrive on time for class.  Due to late arrivals, students have fallen short of their 30 hours of class time and must make up the time.  Because the State of Maine requires 30 hours of class time, if your student arrives late, they will be turned away, and a charge will apply (below) for the class to be made up.  It is very important that your student arrives on time.  Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions.  Thank you for your understanding.

 Are you between the ages of 15 and 19 and want your State of Maine permit to prepare for your driving exam? We offer driver education courses to help build strong, safe, and confident drivers. Students are awarded an instructional permit upon successfully completing the course with a grade of 80 percent or better and completing the required hours of instruction. The total hours of instruction are 40; 30 are in the classroom, and 10 are behind the wheel. A full payment of $575 is due at the time of registration. If a student withdraws from the course, $75 is withheld from the refund to cover program costs. Only employee discounts for this class. The amulet is a whimsical and creative woven pouch that can be worn like a necklace to hold our personal magic, innermost thoughts and small objects that hold particular meaning for us, allowing us to call in a particular intention in our lives. Amulet weaving may well be one of the most fun and creative weavings done on the 7-stick journey loom. Materials Fee: $25, includes the use of a Loom and tool kit during class time, warp threads, weft yarn, beads and other embellishments, as well as all written materials and handouts. This is a 1-night class. Tea and snacks provided.

This one-night workshop is designed to introduce students to the corresponding course, FLOW 1: Intermediate + Advanced Watercolor. Though this workshop is not a prerequisite for the course, it is an opportunity to meet the instructor and preview lesson plans before committing to the full course.

In this 1-day class, you'll learn everything you need to know to get started with watercolor painting. We will have an in-depth conversation about paper and pads, paint, palettes, and brushes. After a review of color theory, we'll fill in a color wheel and paint a small illustration printed on watercolor paper. All materials provided. *A $20 materials fee to be paid to the instructor on the night of class.

We’ll be outside practicing how to follow and set bearings and navigation tricks of the trade in the light and in the dark! A compass never runs out of batteries or fails to connect with a satellite. *Students should have taken Map & Compass Level 1 or have experience using compasses with maps. **Students must have a headlamp, a flashlight and a 2-degree baseplate compass.

Have fun learning to listen to your intuition and exploring the traditional and intuitive meanings behind Tarot. We’ll go over the basics of a Tarot deck, quick ways to understand card meanings without years of studying, how to read your first card, and integrating Tarot into your life for self-reflection, confidence, and guidance. You can bring a deck if you have one on hand that you’d like to connect with and explore further. This workshop is 1 night.
