Beginner Jewelry Making Using Metals
with Mary Swift, Mt. Desert Island Adult & Community Education
Learn to make your own jewelry! This course is for anyone who has an interest in learning the basics of jewelry making. We will start with copper to practice sawing, soldering, filing, and forming the metal. We will then use other metals or combinations of metals such as sterling silver, copper, brass, bronze, and or nickel silver. Class size is limited to 10. Materials fee of $55 is included in the course fee already.
About the Instructor: Mary Swift as a BFA from Maine College of Art. She has over 40 years experience making and selling 14K and Sterling Silver Jewelry and ceramics, both wholesale and retail. Currently Mary is teacher jewelry at MDI High School and Arts/crafts to students with and without special needs.
