This is a live, online class via Zoom. 

In this 6 week course, you will learn the importance of movement, stress reduction, self-care (including sleep strategies, rest, self-love, self-forgiveness) healthy nutrition and mindfulness and healthy relationships to improve your overall wellbeing.

This course will be done on Zoom in a lecture format with time at the end for Q & A.  with journal prompts, hand-outs, text, phone call or email check-ins. There will be a FREE Zoom meeting to go over the course at the end of the 6 week session.

Fee includes a journal, pen, hand-outs, weekly check-in via phone call/text/email and FREE Zoom meeting at the end of the 6-week session to wrap up the course.

Relaxation and Stress Reduction with Hatha Yoga Session 3

Come learn about the aspirational and financial impacts of savings for students of all ages, as well as the program highlights of Maine's Section 529 plan, a tool many families use to prepare for higher education expenses. Also, take home some tips and tricks for getting a jump-start on the scholarship search while your child is in middleschool/easrly high school. Join Marie Pelletier, College Savings Counselor from the Finance Authority of Maine for this 1-hour virtual session and get started with saving for your child or grandchild's higher education.

Lighthouse Lovers Cruise at the Maine Maritime Museum

If you’d like to capture the beauty of coastal Maine lighthouses, this might be just the course for you.  You’ll start online focusing on camera settings that you may want to use out on the water.  Then you’ll have the chance to experiment and take lots of photos using different settings and sharing techniques and approaches  on the cruise.  The final online session you share and learn from each others’ experience and photos.   This workshop is for beginner and intermediate photographers. $180.00 does not include the $60 cruise ticket 

See up to 10 of Maine’s most iconic lighthouses: Doubling Point Light, Kennebec Range Lights, Squirrel Point Light, Perkins Island Light, Pond Island Light, Seguin Island Light Station, Cuckolds Light, Ram Island Light, Burnt Island Light, and Hendricks Head Light (4 hours).

Cruise comfortably with plenty of space to move around the open upper deck and enclosed lower deck. All cruise fees include admission.  In-person ticket sales end 20 minutes prior to departure; boarding begins 15 minutes prior to departure. Please plan your arrival accordingly.

Steve McGrath is a professional freelance photographer and photography teacher who has been creating images for 20 years.  Steve first began by shooting sports photography for local high schools, then weddings, and stock agencies.  His love of the outdoors led him to focusing more on his true passion.  Steve was an active member of the Gateway Camera Club for many years, and has won many ribbons and awards at fairs and competitions through the club and on his own. Many of his images have been published in school text books.

Do you have children who will be looking at college in the next few years or might you be thinking of returning to school yourself? Now is a great time to start thinking about the college financial aid process and ways to boost college savings. The earlier you start, the more confident and relaxed you will feel when it is time to apply for financial aid. Join Nikki Vachon, College Access Counselor with the Finance Authority of Maine for this 1-hour workshop as we talk all things paying for college.  This workshop is offered by FAME in partnership with adult education programs across Aroostook, Hancock, Penobscot and Washington Counties.

Wednesday, October 11, 6pm-7pm

Nikki Vachon, College Access Counselor at FAME will be sharing information about programs that student loan borrowers might want to take advantage of. She has worked in the financial aid field for over 26 years and is passionate about sharing information and helping students and borrowers. She welcomes interaction and questions in classes and will end the session with helping create (or recover) their FAFSA login information (or recover it) to get ready to file the FAFSA or in some cases complete the FAFSA if attending in 2023-24 academic year. She will share info about upcoming FAFSA help sessions for the 2024-25 academic year.

Color Theory is the art of combining colors based on the color wheel. Accurately combining colors, using the color wheel, and understanding how colors relate to each other are critical skills for artists, crafters, designers, marketers, and brand owners. Color theory helps determine which colors look good together and goes beyond just "eyeing" color combinations. There is a supply fee of $7 payable to the instructor at class.
