Check out what’s buzzing! During this informative workshop we will discuss what is needed to effectively manage and maintain bees for the entire first season including, the harvesting of your first honey crop. We’ll talk about beneficial flowering plants, honeybee breeds and attributes, life cycle of the honeybee and diseases and pests that affect them, the availability of honeybees and the needed equipment. Hands on participation will include learning how to assemble equipment, use the tools of a beekeeper and basic beehive inspection skills.
