Emotional intelligence is how we relate to ourselves and people around us. It’s how we recognize, understand, and manage our emotions and how that awareness is applied in everyday matters. Emotional intelligence helps us get along with others. It helps us minimize and manage small things that may otherwise get blown out of proportion, understand what someone else might be going through, consider others' perspectives, and maintain a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
