AKC Canine Good Citizen Prep Class

Calendar Jan 31, 2019 at 7 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Continue with Basic Obedience skills but distractions will be added.Teach your dog to keep a loose leash in public and be a good citizen! Test offered on week 6.

AKC Star Puppy-Spring Session

Calendar Apr 23, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 6 weeks

The AKC Star Puppy Class is for puppies 8 weeks to 10 months of age. In this class you will be able to get all your puppy training questions answered along with learning basic training skills such as walking nicely on leash, sit, down, and come when called. After attending all 6 classes the Star puppy test will be administered and upon passing your puppy will receive a new title and certificate. All puppies are welcome including mixed breeds.

*Lab fee of $120 payable to instructor at start of class*

Volunteer Hospice Training

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of hospice patients facing the end-of-life, and their families? Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice, a non-profit organization, is looking for hospice volunteers to join the hospice team, providing companionship to patients and respite for family members. In the training you will learn about the history and philosophy of hospice, family dynamics, spirituality, communication, the adult disease process and other end-of-life issues. The training includes both classroom time and online training. Volunteers are asked to make a 1-year commitment 2-4 hours per week. You can make a difference. Start today!
