Line Dancing 101

DROP-IN RATE: $12/PER CLASS Do you like to dance and have a good time? Come on out and give line dancing a try! This class is tons of fun and a great way to get some exercise without knowing it. We will learn choreographed dances to the newest music, some country and much more. Our class will start super simple and we will kick it up a small notch at the end for those who really like a challenge or have already done this before. No experience or partner necessary. Students are asked to wear shoes without grips on the bottom. Melissa Adams has been dancing for more than 25 years and began to teach five years ago to share her passion with others. 8 classes – Tuesdays, 2/25-4/14, 5:30pm-7:00pm, GMS, $90

The class fulfills a required college graduation credit at both Central and Southern Maine Community Colleges.

16-week certification course: This course provides practical real-world skills essential for success in the healthcare field.  This all-inclusive course consists of Medical Terminology, Medical Front Office Skills, Electronic Medical Records for the Medical Office, and Medical Billing.  In addition, upon completion of all courses, you will sit for your CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant) and Billing Specialist National Certification exams through the National Healthcare Association.

20 week, in-depth medical coding for CPC certification.  This program is designed to teach all aspects of medical coding and provide you the skills needed to become nationally certified and get into the job market as a Certified Coder.  This certificate program is taught by a Certified Medical Coder and includes Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, CPC exam, AAPC membership, 3 practice CPC tests and all books.  Basic computer skills are required.  Payment plans available.

Introduction to Crochet - Session II

Join us for an introductory class for crochet! That’s the one with the hook, not two needles! We will learn basic stitches and patterns, hook sizes, traditional yarns, and alternative options like rope, cording or t-shirt yarn and “plarn” made from repurposed plastic bags. Crochet can be a quick and easy way to create lots of fun and interesting things. The ease of the basic stitches makes it a great hobby. Let’s make a goal to work on a hat and see where we go from there! Do you use Microsoft Excel today? Do you follow a cheat sheet to complete your daily Excel tasks? Do you need something a little more than a basic class? In this three-day (2 hours per day) class, we will teach you how to use the intermediate features of the Microsoft Excel program. By the end of the class you will be able to use the conditional formatting feature, use spreadsheets for mail merging, create and use pivot tables, create charts and graphs, combine functions within formulas, edit text to columns and more.
