This is an introductory class to learn about basic stitches, designing your image and to create your own hoop embroidery project. Hoop embroidery has found a renewed interest in the crafting world. Lovely abstracts, unique modern themes, and plays on the iconic “home sweet home” samplers are what comes to the imagination when we think of cross stitch and needlepoint. Take time out during the busy holiday season for this great smelling, stress free and fun class!! We will make holiday-scented room sprays that make great gifts for family and friends or you can make some for yourself to enhance your home. Official 12 Sprays of Christmas labels included, along with basic gift bags. Materials fee: $4/per spray, limit 5 per participant, payable to instructor. Elissa Nauman is a Certified Essential Oils Coach through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). Math Basics covers place value, calculations with the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, decimals, fractions and percentage. In addition, it covers the basic vocabulary of geometry, reading of tables and graphs used in the world and introduces problem solving strategies for real life situations. Math Essentials covers the number system, exponents and roots, the order of operations, percents, ratio and proportion, measurement and units, integers, geometry, simple statistics, simple equations and includes applications that use those Math topics. Students will learn to work with and without the use of a calculator. This class prepares for the HiSET® test. Instructor: Sue Finch Schedule: TBD
