Family Literacy - StoryTime Adventures W25

Weekly StoryTime Adventures are curated to include fitness, well-being, and the importance of your imagination in the outdoors. Registration includes a copy of the month's chosen storybook. A comprehensive craft to accompany the book, along with a take-home and follow-up for parents/guardians to continue the discussions from our Adventure together.
Morning sessions are ideal for parents/guardians of children birth to 4 years.

Life Skills
with Jean Philpot, RSU 54/MSAD 54 Adult and Community Education

In this class, especially designed for adults with learning challenges, students will enhance everyday life skills by improving their basic reading, writing, and problem-solving proficiencies.
Participants will work toward developing customer service, teamwork, and business skills by operating a small café.
Learners set their own individualized goals and work toward them in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment. Contact the Adult Education office for additional information.
Tech Spot - Skowhegan Location

SESSIONS BY APPOINTMENT
The Tech Spot is a School and Community Project that offers technology advice and tutoring to adults from throughout our school district.
Examples of possible help sessions include general computer operation, conducting web searches, using Facebook and other social media programs, and operating Smart phones, iPads, Tablets, and PCs. Assistance with some software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) is available as well.

Multilingual Learner (MLL)

with Biddeford Adult Education

Designed for people who speak little or no English. This is a fun and engaging way for students to learn English vocabulary and grammar in context while gaining skills and strategies in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students are tested to see what level they are currently which will help in placement. All tests are to measure your current level and are NOT pass or fail tests.

Creating Web Pages

You will learn the best strategies for planning the content, structure, and layout of your website as well as creating pages with neatly formatted text, building links between the pages, and more! SACOPEE FAMILY READING CLUB

This free Parent and Child Together (PACT) activity meets at the Riverside United Methodist Church on Thursday evenings as designated. HiSET 101 D: Online (formerly GED)

This year we are excited to offer one of our HiSET 101 sessions online. Instruction will occur using tools like Zoom and Google Classroom.
Get started in the HiSET® Program by attending our orientation for new students. Orientation will provide an overview of the HiSET® process and guide participants through intake, assessment, and pre-testing. Workshops on college and career planning, financial literacy, and technology skills (all essential skills for success at college and in the workplace) will be provided.
Attendance at orientation classes is mandatory.
At the end of orientation, students will be referred to final HiSET® testing or scheduled for additional academic help.
