If you didn't finish high school, you know that your job choices can be limited. Even with talent and drive, the lack of a high school diploma can limit your opportunities. Increase your lifelong earnings by earning your high school credential.

The HiSET® exam has replaced the GED as Maine’s High School equivalency assessment. If you are an adult without a high school diploma, the HiSET® could be your route to improved career prospects, a college education, and increased earnings potential. To earn a HiSET® credential, you are required to successfully pass five exams in the areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science. HiSET®exam preparation and testing are free to Maine residents.

If you don't use it, you lose it! This is most notably true about math. Most of us read and write almost every day, but how many of us find the common denominator of fractions regularly enough to make it stick in our brains? Work with our math teacher to change your perspective on math, eliminate your negative feelings and anxiety, and receive direct and targeted instruction. You'll use technology to practice the skills you learn directly from your teacher and other learning resources. Vanessa Richards has 19 years of experience teaching all levels of math, and has been dubbed the"Math Therapist."  Upon successful completion of this course, students will earn one high school diploma credit (if needed).
