We will explore the place value system; the meaning of the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and their application to whole numbers; the language of math and how to translate between mathematical language and English; basic geometric concepts; simple probability; measurement; and the meaning of fractions and decimals. This course will lay the foundation for future math courses, in particular Foundations of Algebra.
