Looking for an Algebra 1 course and credit? Algebra 1 is designed for credit towards high school diploma and for college admission; the class will also help you prepare for college-level math courses. A once-a-week online class meeting and online homework make this an intensive course. Students will work on writing and solving equations, coordinate graphing, factoring, systems of equations. Expect to spend 2-3 hours a week doing coursework. Students must complete an intake and online learning orientation when enrolling.
Technology requirements for the class are a laptop, tablet or desktop (not a phone), camera, microphone and hi-speed Internet.
This class is free to students earning their diploma through RSU 24 Adult Education.

Microsoft Excel 2013 W21

Do you manage large sets of numbers, names, dates, or other pieces of information? If so, then you need to create worksheets to manage, store, organize, and even analyze this information. Excel, Microsoft’s powerful spreadsheet software, is the most widely-used program to handle this task.
This course focuses on mastering the fundamentals of Excel. You will learn how to quickly and efficiently create fully formatted worksheets, learn common formulas and functions, sorting and analyzing data, and custom charts and graphs. You will also learn the compatibility with other MS Office Suite Products. Students will need to bring a thumb drive to class. No class April 20. Limit nine students.

Learn the basics of Microsoft Excel including setting up, designing, and completing a spreadsheet. You will become familiar with fonts, formatting cells, numbers, and spreadsheets as well as formulas, charts, sorting, filtering, hiding columns/rows, split freeze panes, and much more. Please bring a flash drive to class.

Microsoft Power Point: In this presentation software program you will learn to cut, copy and paste, along with learning about different fonts to create slide shows. You will learn to import from other files like Word, Excel, and the Internet and learn about compatibility with other MS Office Suite products. Microsoft Publisher: The Publisher program is designed to aid you in designing your own calendars, cards, and invitations, to name only a few of the many ways to use this program. Students need to bring a thumb drive to class. Limit nine students. Dates TBA
