Course Summary: These four courses cover Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior English. The courses are based on the Common Core Standards for English and Language Arts. 

In this course, students will work on writing, vocabulary development, reading informational texts, and will have opportunities to develop speaking and listening skills. Learning is provided through books, articles, videos and others with a focus on exploring works of powerful literature from around the globe.

  • Pre-Algebra- Introduces students to mathematicial principples required for future success in Algebra. 

Algebra I- Develop understanding of abstract concepts in algebra such as: fractions, integers, expondents, quadratic equations etc. 

Algrebra II- In depth exploration of abstract concepts in algebra. 

Geometry- Introduces students to a visual and numerical study of shapes, sizes, patterns, and positions.

In this class students will begin with a review of basic math facts and basic math operations.  Students will learn the vocabulary connected with mathematics. 

Students will be able to apply the four basic mathematic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) over whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and integers.  Percent, measurement, formulas, equations, ratio and proportion will also be covered.  Students will learn to read, set up and solve word problems, percentage problems, geometric formulas, read graphs, make graphs and begin elementary algebra.  Homework will be assigned.

Students join this class at anytime during the academic year!
