Genealogy Workshop - At the Old Town Museum - In Person

Designed for beginners, but helpful for those who have some experience, it is a two part Genealogy Workshop. Part 1 will introduce you to genealogy and assist you in building your family tree.  Part 2 will address sources, storage and publication of your research. Sample worksheets to begin recording your data will be provided along with discussion of ways to make your research fun and successful.  A computer is not necessary, but may be helpful. Attendance will be limited to 20.

Instructors: Mary Gibouleau and Museum Staff.

One - night Workshop

Ever wonder how to preserve all those great garden veggies? This hands-on workshop led by a University of Maine Extension volunteer will teach you the basic steps for canning and freezing. Participants will recieve a "Preserving the Harvest" packet and will learn recommended methods for preserving food.  They will also receive the latest and safest recipes, learn about equipment safety, and be taught how to ensure jars are properly sealed.

Reiki II is about "Emotional and Distant Healing" and it is considered to be the practitioner's level. Some take this degree to become practitioners, while others just want to continue their own healing journey. Symbols are given at this level and are for emotional & distant healing (of self and others). Students are trained to use the second degree symbols and to send long distance healing.

Reiki 1 is a prerequisite. Class is limited to 8, so register early!
