Come learn how to use this cloud-based video conferencing platform which lets you attend classes virtually and meet with others either by video or audio-only or both!  Zoom creates a way for in-person classes to still “meet” and enjoy the ability to connect with others. We will show you how to download the Zoom app and explore its basic features.  Also, we will create a “Zoom meeting” so you can practice and gain confidence in using it. Some helpful resources will be provided.  Bring your laptop, tablet, or phone (iOS or Android) to this class, but if you cannot, we will provide a device for you to use. The short-term vacation rental community is growing worldwide and in mid-coast Maine. Are you wondering if your property has the potential for some extra income? Come and explore the possibilities that are available to you. This general information session will help you decide if short-term renting is the right fit for you, your family, and your home. Discussion will be generated by your questions, and the ins-and-outs revealed by a four-year veteran of short-term vacation rental success. Considerations for discussion; lodging taxes, local permits, navigating the websites, security, and expectations. After the class has generated some clarity for you and you decide to jump on this journey, there will be another multi-day course offered mid-winter to help you actually get things up and running. This is a Monday evening class via Zoom.

Develop basic bookkeeping understanding, record keeping for business activities, and skills needed to ensure proper compliance. Learn to create and read financial statements to help manage your business.
