Spend Monday mornings writing in a small group via Zoom. Bring works-in-progress or begin new work in any genre. Generative theme-based prompts are offered as optional, and each class includes 30 minutes of quiet writing time. You may choose to read your work aloud and feedback will be carefully guided so that writers hear what others found meaningful, evocative, interesting, exciting, and enchanting.

Diana Mullins is a writer and editor who has taught writing workshops for three decades. She is an expert on feedback and revision techniques, and has advanced degrees in education. Her creative writing has been published in literary journals.

A Death Cafe is a safe place where you, your family, and your friends can share stories, question reality, and hear new voices as we ponder the mystery of death and dying. Death Cafes are not grief sessions or bereavement groups, but rather interesting and inviting gatherings held around the world to increase awareness of the importance of making the most of this life as we ponder what we know about death. Instructor will demonstrate how to navigate and interface with Excel’s basic features. See how to create a simple contact list. You will view how to use calculations such as autosum and see how to generate simple formulas. Also, learn to use the fill handle, sort existing data, merge and center, move cells and ranges, and wrap text. These easy steps will be held over Zoom.

Yin yoga is a style of yoga where passive yoga posture(poses) are held for extended periods of time. Typically 3-5 min., sometimes up to 10. In these passive postures, muscle activity is minimized, with a focus on stretching connective tissues, such as fascia, ligaments and tendons. We will gently settle in to postures, supported by yoga props, while deeply connecting to breath. These longer holds allow the muscles to lengthen passively and for physical releases under the skin to occur. This practice supports overall flexibility, circulation, and range of motion in the joints and ligaments. This class is for those new to yoga, as well as, seasoned yogis looking for a deep stretch. Yoga blocks/bolster are encouraged if you have them, otherwise the teacher has props to use during class.

About Barbara: Barbara has been a ballroom dancer and instructor for most of her adult life. She is also a licensed Zumba instructor certified to teach Zumba, Zumba Toning, and Zumba Gold. She just celebrated her 10-year Zumba anniversary. Barbara has been teaching Zumba classes at MSAD#6 since 2014.

Monthly Storytime Adventures are curated to include a copy of the storybook for each child registered. A comprehensive craft to accompany the book, along with a take-home and follow-up for parents/guardians to continue the discussions from our Adventure together. The outdoors, movement, and opportunity for creative outlet are encouraged.

These sessions are ideal for parents/guardians of children birth to 4 years. Parent/Guardian discussions will be monthly to discuss topics of how to integrate literacy into our lives with the assistance of Community Partners.
