FRENCH LEVEL 2

The level 2 French targets students who have a basic understanding of vocabulary and basic verbs. The students are working on sentence building and basic conversational skills. This class approaches different aspects of the French culture from many regions, including France and Quebec. This group will have the opportunity to visit Quebec in the springtime!

Whether you are working on your first novel or your latest magazine article, you know that one of the most valuable things any writer can have is feedback. Another is support. This workshop offers both, along with seminars on such topics as finding inspiration, performing research, organizing one’s ideas, using words powerfully and approaching publishers. The group leader, Dr. Thomas M. Kane, has published 27 books and has extensive experience teaching writing.

The level 3 French is perfect for students who have a good base in French. This level has many opportunities to converse in French. We also do some grammar and read some texts that apply different aspects of the French language. We learn about the French Culture, including music, tradiitions and French expressions. This group will have the chance to visit Quebec during the springtime.

This class uses the duplicate format to help you find features for bidding and play that work well - and those that don’t. Those unfamiliar with duplicate play will receive instruction at the table and will feel like “pros” in minutes. This not an ACBL sanctioned game, Bring a friend for a fun card playing afternoon and make some new friends.
