CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant

The 180 hour Certified Nursing Assistant Course is designed to prepare the student to be a Nursing Assistant. Call the Adult Ed Office at 778-3460 for application, registration requirements and placement on a waiting list. Details regarding dates, location and fees will be provided to participants as the class list is completed.

First, you must complete a state-approved education program. Next, you must pass a competency exam. Requirements vary from state to state, so check with our program for details.
The course will consist of one hundred (180) hours of instruction. Ninety (90) hours will be spent in the classroom, twenty (20) hours skills lab, and seventy (70) hours of clinical experience in a long-term health-care facility.

This course builds on the math concepts learned in Algebra I. This course will guide you through linear equations, graphs, matrices, polynomials and radical expressions, quadratic equations, functions, exponential and logarithmic expressions, sequences and series, probability and trignometry.
