This Pet photography course is designed to teach you everything you need to know to take professional-quality Portraits. You will learn how to work with all different types of subjects, from individuals and groups to children and pets. Steve will explain the nuances of lighting and posing, how to shoot in studio or on location, and how to master the gear you will need to create inspiring work! And this is for a Digital Camera or a Smartphone!

Come spend a relaxing afternoon making beautiful beeswax candles. Students will be hand-dipping taper candles and then coloring them in pots of colored wax. Suitable for ages 7+ (under 10 may require adult assistance). A $10 materials fee, payable to the instructor, must be paid the day of class. *The course fee and the materials fee is per participants. **Registrants must register themselves and their child.

This three-hour course is for firearm owners and nonowners. You’ll learn what to do when you see an attack or if you are attacked and respond with force. You’ll learn how to contact the first responders, how prosecutors might view what you did, rules about concealed carry in the US and Maine, and various ways to protect yourself without using a firearm. Part of a series but can be taken separately. Class taught via Zoom.

Furred, feathered, scaled and even bald pets are beautiful! Please bring two printed copies of an 8x8inch or slightly smaller portrait photo of your pet to class. A close up head shot is best! We will learn how to score, break, and snip glass and ceramics down to shape and glue to our substrate. On the last day of class we will finish with grout. Tools will be provided for in class use. A material fee of $25 must be paid to the instructor on the first night of class. Beginners welcome!
